Vakratunda Mahakaya 
Surya Koti Sama Prabha
Nirvighnam Kuru Me Deva 
Sarva Karyesu Sarvada.

O! Lord Ganesha, the one with a curved trunk and a powerful body,
The one who has the brilliance of a million suns. 
May the Lord please always remove every obstacle from my work and duties.

OM! Gannaanaam Tvaa Gana Patim Gum Havamahe
Kavim Kaveenaam Upama Shravas Tamam
Jyestha Rajam Brahmanaam Brahmanaas Pata

Om Maha Gana Adhipataye Namah



OM! O! The Lord of Ganas, the celestial attendants, Ganapathi! We offer you our religious gifts in yagna the fire ritual,

You are the knowledge of the intelligent and the greatest of the glorious and a poet of poets,

You are the foremost of the rulers, the absolute consciousness and lead us in evolution,

Having listened to our prayers, please come and be seated at the sacred altar where we perform the Vedic rituals.

We pay respect to you, the great lord of Ganas.

Who is dressed in white, 
Who is present everywhere,
Whose skin color is like that of moon(light), 
Who has four arms, 
Who wears a pleasing facial expression
and
Who removes all obstacles.

Gajananam Bhuta Ganadhi Sevitam 
Kapittha, Jambu Phalasara Bhaksitam 
Uma Sutam, Shoka Vinasha Karanam
Namami Vigneshwara Pada Pankajam 

(I meditate on)

The Lord who has the face of an Elephant, 
The Lord who is Served by the Celestial attendants of his father Lord Siva and others,
The Lord who eats the Wood Apple (Kapitta - Velakkaya in Telugu Language) and Rose Apple (Jambu - Neredu in Telugu Language) fruits,
The Lord who is the son of Devi Uma (Devi Parvati - the consort of Lord Siva) and who destroys sorrow,
I place my salutations at the feet of Sri. Vighneswara.

Lord Ganesha, who removes all obstacles in work,
The Lord who is the son of two mothers,
The Lord who is the commander of his father's Ganas (army of celestial attendants),
The Lord who has one tusk and five heads (Herambha),
The Lord who has a huge stomach and the face of an elephant.

Herambha is one of the 32 forms of Sri. Ganesha, manifesting five heads. This form is popular in Nepal.
